The rehabilitation organization PUNARBASA, which has been working for over a decade for the therapy, treatment, awareness, and empowerment of persons with intellectual disabilities, has extended financial assistance to an economically weaker disabled person to help lead a self-reliant life through small entrepreneurship.

A financial grant of Rs. 10,000 (Rupees Ten thousand) only was provided to Devi Bhuyan of Khardasahi village under Chandol area. The assistance was handed over at the residence of Bivas Dehury by the representatives of the organization, including Treasurer Shivcharan Samal, Co-Chairman Timpish Mohanty, and member Pratap Swain.

The financial support has been provided to help the beneficiary start a small business and become self-dependent, said the Chief Advisor of PUNARBASA, Biraja Routray.
